Rensselaer - Jane "Sue" Schermerhorn, 84, of Rensselaer died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Albert Earl and Harriet Schermerhorn. Jane worked for many years as a Operator for AT&T in Colonie.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Schermerhorn and many extended family members.
Jane’s funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Church of St. Mary, 163 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer. Relatives and friends may also visit at the church from 9 - 10 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the mass. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions made to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
