Colonie - Antoinette “Anne” Schillaci passed away peacefully at 86 years old on Saturday, December 31, 2016 after a brief illness at St. Peter’s Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 1, 1930 and grew up in Rensselaer NY, moving to Colonie after her marriage. She was the beloved daughter of Elmer Bradt and Louise Maikowski Bradt. She was predeceased by her loving husband Tony Schillaci and brother Edward. She is survived by her sister Louise Smolinski; her four children Michael (Maryann), Vincent (Lindy), Terri (Bob) and Tom; loving niece, Kathy Smolinski; Grandson Benjamin (Qyauna); Great Grandson Jarrod; nieces Barbara, Janet and Carol Bradt; cousins; and sister-in-law Rose. Anne helped her husband Tony in the office of Carbonic Sales for years. She embarked on a career of her own in the 70’s in Real Estate. She was a member of the million dollar club and President of the Women’s Council for Realtors in 1979. In her younger years she was a Cub Scout den mother and was a member of WAFD #2 Ladies Auxiliary and current member of Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. Anne was an avid swimmer with many miles in the pool. She and Tony traveled extensively in their motorhomes criss crossing the USA for decades. Many neighborhood kids will have fond memories of the famous pool parties and cookouts in her back yard. Anne was a “professional” slot machine player and thoroughly enjoyed Saratoga. She was a Saturday night regular at the Golden Fox. Anne had a wonderful life and her favorite saying was “Seize the Moment”, which she did and we were lucky enough to share it with her. Special thanks to Kimberly in St Peters ICU.
