Obituary of Eileen A. O'Connor

Eileen Patrick O'Connor, age 87, passed away Monday June 26, 2017 at Eddy Village Green Nursing Home in Cohoes after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born November 15,1929 in Manhattan to Michael and Anastasia Patrick. Grew up in the Inwood section of Manhattan attending Good Shepherd grammar school and Assisium HS. In 1956, Eileen married to love of her life Bernard O'Connor (deceased) moved to the Bronx to raise two children and work many years at Furhman's Department store until moving to Colonie, NY in 1999. She was an avid bowler and bingo player. Eileen was the loving mother of Patricia "Patti" O'Connor, East Greenbush, NY., and John (wife Mary) and three grandchildren, Shane, Kayla and Kerry all of Fayetteville, NY. sister of Robert Patrick, Barbara Patrick Gillespie (Russell), late Joan Patrick Collich (James), late Edward Patrick (Anne), Sister-in-law to Margaret "Peggy" Lamoreaux in NC. and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on July 3rd. at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
