Obituary of Ruth E. Wensley

Colonie - Ruth Eaton Wensley, 97, of Colonie died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush.  Born in Moline, IL, Ruth was a longtime Colonie resident.  She worked for 50 years as an X-Ray Technician in the Albany area and retired from Dr. Barnaby’s office in Albany.  She was a member of the Community Reformed Church of Colonie, was an avid reader and enjoyed stamp collecting and gardening.

    Ruth was the wife of the late William Wensley; mother of Joyce Karl of Colonie, Judy Holsapple (Keith) of Niskayuna and William Wensley (Marylou) of Catskill; and grandmother of Sonja Kahian, Kristie LaRose, Keith Holsapple, Starr Wensley, Renee Holsapple, Kelsey Harbiyeci, Tad Wensley and Taylor Wensley.  She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie.  Relatives and friends may also call at the funeral home prior to the service, from noon to 1:00.  For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Community Reformed Church of Colonie, 701 Sand Creek Rd., Colonie, NY  12205 would be appreciated.
