I was only acquainted with Joanne through the New Scotland Seniors. I have been a volunteer bus driver with the seniors for the past 9 years and I remember your mother going on many trips and picking her up in front of her home. She was always willing and mostly able to go to local museums, lunch locations and sometimes out to Sharon Springs for breakfast at one of my favorite locations – Stone House Farms. I remember Joanne with her effervescent spirit and at times just “rolling with the punches” when trips didn’t go as planned. I know seniors don’t live forever, but I really thought your mother would go on forever. I am so sorry for your loss as a family and our community for the loss of one of our beloved senior. May her soul find peace in Heaven . . .

I remember all the times as a kid when Aunt Joanne, Uncle Gerry, Carol, Sharon, Janet and Eddie visited us in Stoneham, MA. We were always so excited when they arrived! And Aunt Joanne truly loved to talk to us, asked what we were up to and shared great stories. She was ALWAYS smiling and happy!
