Obituary of Anthony A. Ottaviano, Sr.

Colonie - Anthony A. Ottaviano, Sr., 82, of Myers Ct. died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.  Born in Plainfield, NJ, Anthony had lived in Colonie for the past 40 years.  He was a longtime area business owner and enjoyed automobiles, NASCAR, the NY Giants and the NY Yankees.  Anthony loved his family and cooking.

He was the husband of the late Margaret Mestre; father of Anthony A. Ottaviano, Jr. of Fonda, Rose Ottaviano of Colonie, Dorothy Ann “Tyger” Gordon (Tim) of Agriola, VA, Margaret Lazzaro of Colonie, Kelly Lazzaro of Colonie and Stacey McLoughlin (Frank) of Colonie; brother of Jeremiah and Mickey Ottaviano; grandfather of Amy Rose Gentzler (Geoff), Kristin Marie Ottaviano, Lauren Grace Ottaviano, Chelsea Ann Ottaviano, Timothy Gordon, Jr., Peyton Gordon, Christian Gordon, Matthew Bytner, Nick Bytner and Ryan McLaughlin; great-grandfather of Keene and Grace Gentzler; uncle of Michael and Evelyn; and former father-in-law of Mary E. Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie.  Entombment will be in Memory’s Garden in Colonie.  Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  For those who wish, memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 would be appreciated.
