I met Ellen when I moved to Conway SC she was a great friend and good at telling us jokes and stories. I was Joyce Rills neihbor and bff and one day Ellen said to me I wish I had a bf like you and I hugged her to let her know she was my bff too I loved her she gave us many laughs and tears

I was a classmate of Ellen from 8 th grade to graduation. Ellen was a cheerleader and friend to all. Never in the five years we shared classes did I ever hear a disparaging remark about her. Her vivacious personality was shared equally with everyone she interacted. Following graduation she met her what became her lifetime love, Pat.
They were constant companions and in a society of multiple marriages they were a pillar of love and devotion.
Six decades of marriage says a lot about their life. The sphere of influence she had upon her grand children and extended family was broad and deep.
We reconnected in recent years via e mails and Facebook. We knew of her illness and her strong spirit shown through. She dealt with her condition asking for prayers as she related her latest positive check up.
God gained an angel with her passing, and to those who knew her, we were blessed to be in her wide circle of friends both near and far.
God bless you Ellen, we miss you.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ellen L. Hunsinger. She was not only a patient I cared for, but also someone I truly admired and respected. It was a privilege to be by her side, and I will always remembered her warmth , kindness, and strength. Peter and I met Ellen and Pat when we moved Nextdoor to them at Woodstock Lake. They were so helpful as we knew nothing about camping .
Ellen always welcomed people to her deck where we laughed and joked for hours. She was one of a kind. Those were some of the best times .

Such a wonderful friend, a great sense of humor, loved life and let it show. A loving mom to her daughter and her grandchildren. I know they will miss her. My favorite Ellen joke..If I killed him the first time I wanted to, I'd be out of jail by now!!!

Ellen and pat became my dear friends when they moved to ventura lakes in Florida. From the moment my husband and I met them we clicked immediately. We went out to dinner all the time. Even went on a cruise together with other neighbors. Took different trips with the ventura family. Even after they moved we kept in touch. I have been speaking to her once a week while she was in rehab. I was lucky to speak to her only a few days before she passed. I pray she is walking with the angels. Rest in peace my dear friend I will always remember you
