Obituary of Nancy F. Tarrington

Nancy Tarrington (age 89) has gone to sing with the angels on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 at Riverside Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Castleton, NY. Nancy was born 12/20/1935 to the late William Filene and Katherine Jakeman of Groton, MA. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon. She is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Chaplin (Jeff) and Amy Harvey; grandchildren: Theodore, Thomas, Eleanor, and Brianna. She also leaves behind several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was an amazing homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was active in her church singing in the choir as well as teaching Sunday School. She also served in her church’s Women’s Ministry. Nancy enjoyed working in her flower garden when the weather was nice, and on rainy days you would find her curled up with a book.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Reilly & Son Funeral Home located at: 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville, NY. Graveside service to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
