Colonie - Eunice Sweet Wagoner, 80, of Natick St. died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Mayfield, Eunice had lived in Colonie for most of her life. She was employed by the South Colonie School District for many years, beginning her career in Roessleville and retiring from the Sand Creek Middle School. Family and friends were very important to Eunice. She and her late husband owned Wagoner's Cabins in Cranberry Creek on Sacandaga Lake for many years where they made many lifelong friends. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed her time with the Lisha Kill Seniors. Eunice was the wife of the late Frederick C. Wagoner; mother of Suzanne G. Wagoner of Latham, Karen A. Maloney (Kevin) of Glenmont and Mark F. Wagoner (Madeline) of Niskayuna; grandmother of Kristina Gardella (Adam), Matthew Matott (Heather), Zachary Matott (Elizabeth), Michael A. Litz, Joshua J. Litz, Nicholas F. Wagoner, Benjamin J. Wagoner and Samuel M. Wagoner; great-grandmother of Rowen Gardella, Asher Gardella and Molly Matott; and sister of the late Nelson Sweet, Mabel Sherwood and Anna Sweet. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 10:00 o'clock at the Cathedral of All Saints, 62 So. Swan St., Albany. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in Schenectady. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens Club, 1653 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205.
