Voorheesville - Marie R. Russell of Voorheesville, age 91, died Saturday, July 19, 2014. Marie was born at Walter Reed in Washington D.C, and lived in Voorheesville for the last 62 years. Marie was a stay at home Mom for many years and a 25 year retiree of the NYS Dept. of Health where she was a Lab Technician in Bacteriology. A highly skilled crafts person Marie was widely known for her Quilting talents and many other hand crafts. Marie was predeceased by her husband Farrand, her brother Edward Brusig, and is survived by her brother Adolph Brusig, loving Mother of children Maria{Ron} Piccione, Farrand {Maria} Russell, grandchildren Jennifer, Amy, Christopher, Courtney, Erich, Kaitlin, and Kelsey, and 3 great grandchildren. Also nieces, nephews and several sister in laws. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Long Lake Cemetery in Long Lake, NY. Calling hours will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville and will conclude with a time for sharing memories at 7:00 o'clock.
