Guilderland - Richard G. "Red" Phillips, 74, of Kent Place died Monday, December 15, 2014 at his home. Born in Colonie, Red had lived in Guilderland for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1958 to 1964 and worked as a Fabricator at West End Iron Works in Colonie for 40 years, retiring in 1997. One of his favorite activities was camping in the Adirondacks. Richard was the husband of the late Suzanne LePage Phillips who passed away in March of this year. Survivors include his children, Robert Phillips (Debbie) of Latham, Sherri Phillips of Albany and Carol Phillips of Guilderland; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be private with burial at a later date in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
