Obituary of Leslie J. Hoffman

Albany - Leslie J. Hoffman Jr., 71, of Albany, son of Marian Momrow Hoffman and Leslie Hoffman Sr. passed away Thursday July 9th after a brief illness. Les was born on April 26, 1944 in Albany. He graduated from the Milne Academy in 1962, and afterwards attended Syracuse University. Les was employed for over thirty years by the New York State Department of Labor. Les was an avid sports enthusiast with a specific love of local college football teams. Les enjoyed casting a line in his beloved Tomhannock Reservoir. Ultimately, Les loved hockey as a player, coach, and fan. Les played for many years in local men’s leagues. Les is survived by his sister, Jaye Hays of Ossipee, New Hampshire; his son Todd E. Hoffman. daughter-in-law Connie Rafferty, and his beloved granddaughters Farrell Friday Hoffman, and Mairin Gray Hoffman, all of Pawling New York. Friends may visit with Leslie’s family on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home , Colonie from 4-7 PM, followed by a private family interment on Tuesday.
