Colonie - Raymond J. St.Hilaire, 66, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Lewiston, ME, Ray had lived in the Albany area since 1984. He served in the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and worked as a cemetery caretaker at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie for 27 years. Ray was devoted to his family - caring and mature while always a child at heart. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed motorcycling. Ray was predeceased by his parents, George and Simone Thibault St.Hilaire; and siblings, Conrad and Linda St.Hilaire. He is survived by his wife, Carol LeRoy St.Hilaire; children, Nicole Childs (Gregory) of East Greenbush, Rene St.Hilaire of Abilene, TX, Rachael Martin (Nicholas) of Feura Bush, Jean “Butch” LeRoy (Allen) of Albany and Jeanette Jackson of Guilderland; grandchildren, Morgan Childs, Taylor Childs, Cody Martin, Gavin Martin, Carter Martin; siblings, Pauline Smith (Bob), Claudette Julia (Bill), Bob St. Hilaire, Monique Russell, Reginald St.Hilaire (Mary) and Rose Begin (Sonny); his first wife, Lisa St.Hilaire; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit with Ray’s family Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. A service of prayer and remembrance will conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m.
