Obituary of Andrea Hampston
Voorheesville - Andrea Zamorski Hampston, 75, of Voorheesville died Sunday, January 28, 2018. Born in Utica, Andrea was raised in Poland, NY. She lived in California, Voorheesville, NY and Mt. Dora, FL before moving back to the Albany area in 2010. Andrea worked as Librarian at Forts Ferry School before moving to California with her husband where she was a Librarian at Yuba Junior College in Marysville. In the Albany area she worked at the Albany Academy for Girls and then from 1980 to 1996 at the Voorheesville Elementary School as the School Librarian. While in Florida, Andrea enjoyed working at Disney in Orlando. She was a member of the Voorheesville Retired Teachers Association.
Andrea was the wife of the late Robert G. Hampston; mother of Edward Hampston (Jennifer) of Voorheesville and Tom Hampston (Christina) of Hershey, PA; grandmother of Emma, Katie, Sydney and Anna; and sister of Tosia Sauter (Bill), Steve Zamorski (Anne), Mary Ann Hughes and Andrew Zamorski (Cindy). She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Funeral 9:00 a.m. Friday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, 25 Mountainview St., Voorheesville. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Poland Cemetery in Poland.
