Obituary of Jeanne A. Perras

VOORHEESVILLE - Jeanne Adele Weissenberger Perras (93), a long time resident of Voorheesville, died on June 13, 2018 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  She was born on August 24, 1924 in Laurelton, NY.  Jeanne attended business school on Long Island and then worked for Pam Am Airlines. Upon marrying her husband, Armand Perras, they moved to Voorheesville in 1952.  Jeanne was a parishioner of St. Matthews Church and a member of the local quilt club. She was an accomplished artist and quilter.

Jeanne is predeceased by her husband, Armand Perras.  She is survived by her

children, Barbara Ewert of Amherst, MA; Armand Perras of Felton, DE; Thomas Perras of Melrose, NY; Richard Perras of Altamont, NY; Christopher Perras of Voorheesville and Jeannine Matuszek of Voorheesville.  She has 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Jeanne has a surviving sister, Betty Verderosa and a predeceased sister, Ruth Kramer.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville.  The Perras family would like to thank all the caregivers and hospice who gave Mom such exceptional care.   For those who wish, contributions to the Community Hospice of Albany would be appreciated.
