Obituary of Frances Dott Peterson

Colonie - Frances “Franny” Dott Peterson, 85, of Elgin St. died Wednesday, October 24, 2018.  Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Miller and Edward Dott and wife of the late Robert John Peterson.  Franny was a 1951 graduate of Roessleville High School, was a member of Christ Our Light Senior Citizens of Colonie and a life member of the Fuller Road Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Frances was the mother of Christine A. White (Michael), Scott T. Peterson (Sandra) and the late Steven R. Peterson; sister of Thomas Dott, Leo Dott, Virginia Birdsall, Emily Dott and the late Edward Dott, Ralph Dott, Paul“Mickey”Dott, Madeline Sweeney and Lois Prusinski.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Theresa Dott, Nancy Dott and Regina Peterson and many other family members.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville.  Calling hours will be at the church Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., prior to the Mass.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.  For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY  12205 would be appreciated.
