Alice was born on October 9, 1930, in Verdun Quebec, Canada to Duncan and Alice Macnab. When Alice married George they relocated to Voorheesville NY where they raised their two sons and where Alice resided the rest of her life. Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Alice worked and retired from Albany Medical College, Albany NY as the Director of Financial Aid. After retiring Alice and George traveled taking many trips. Maine was always their favorite destination to vacation. Alice was an avid walker and the weather would not deter her from taking her walks. It also never deterred her from her almost daily visits to the Windowbox Cafe in Slingerlands. She was also a dedicated member of the New Scotland Presbyterian Church for most of her life. The two distinctive qualities that will remain with people who both knew and met Alice for the first time was her positive outlook on life and always greeting you with a smile.
Alice’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Eddy Village Green Beverwyck who cared for Alice as if she were their own. Alice had nothing but wonderful things to say about her care. We will never forget their guidance, expertise, compassion, and kindness.
