Obituary of Lois Rapp Crounse

Voorheesville - Lois Rapp Crounse, 93, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital.  Lois was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville and a member of the New Scotland Seniors where she enjoyed many years in the role of Tour Director.

Lois was the wife of the late Rudolph S. Crounse and Robert Bristol; mother of Patricia Ann LeGere (Warren) and Keith A. Crounse, both of Voorheesville; grandmother of Ruth Belschwinder (Mark) and Rachael Chase (Dustin Roach); great-grandmother of Christopher and Mackenzie Chase; and sister of Wilda Sandwick, Wayne Rapp and the late Hilbert and Ralph Rapp.  She is also survived by her beloved cat, Tigger. She was loved by all who knew her, and even while in the hospital asked after the tellers at the Voorheesville Key Bank and the employees at the Hannaford.  She will be greatly missed.  

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville  Ave., Voorheesville.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.  Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.  For those who wish, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12206 or the First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville, 68 Maple Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12186 would be appreciated.
