Albany - Ellen Hoogkamp-Hagadone, 69, joined her father and brother in Heaven on Friday, February 5, 2021. Born in Albany, Ellen was a lifelong area resident. She worked for many years in the food service industry, retiring from Compass in Albany. She also owned and operated The Connection in Selkirk. Ellen was known for her exquisite sense of decorating.
Ellen was the mother of Cynthia Bartow of Niverville, Raymond Bartow of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Carmena McMullan (Steven) of Albany and Heather Collins of Coeymans Hollow; daughter of Mary Champlin Hoogkamp and the late Alvin Hoogkamp; sister of Christopher Hoogkamp of Berne, Gerard Hoogkamp (Mary Kay) of Stillwater, Patrick Hoogkamp of Latham, Colleen Smith (Bill) of Johnsonville and the late Alvin Hoogkamp; and sister-in-law of Christine Hoogkamp.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 would be appreciated.
