I went to Paul Smiths College with Obie!! I remember him as a genuine good guy! We lived out at Unit 4 at the Gabriel's campus. I didn't know he was in the Potsdam area or I definitely would have looked him up! We had a lot of fun those 2 years. Obie was always working on VW's even in college. He had a VW bug back then and we would go into town on the weekends to the Alpine Hotel and bar. He dated a girl in school whose last name was Spiech, if I'm spelling it right. Her brother was Paul, another PSC student.
My condolences to his family. RIP Dave
