Obituary of James L. Talerico

Colonie - James L. Talerico, 83, died Thursday, June 16, 2022 at his home.  Born  in Schenectady, James had lived in Colonie for 30 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1960 to 1963 and was employed at the Albany Times Union from 1974 to 1999.  James  enjoyed cars and spending time working on and restoring them.

James was the husband of Linda Carignan Talerico; father of Kimberly Talerico; brother of Linde Oechler of Burnt Hills, Lois Hammond of Middle Grove and the late Paul Talerico; and brother-in-law of of the late Leo Carignan and Clifford Carignan.  He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Donna Carignan of Ballston Spa and Sharon Carignan of Colonie.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie.  Calling hours will precede the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Memory’s Garden Cemetery in Colonie.  For those who wish, memorial donations to St. Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, NY 12205 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
