Obituary of Edward G. Sellnow, III
Edward George (Ed,Eddie) Sellnow III, age 50 of Galway, New York passed away on February 26, 2023 at his home.
Eddie was born in Albany NY to Edward George Sellnow Jr. and Virginia Marguerita Lynch on May 23rd, 1972 and grew up in Voorheesville. He went to Voorheesville High School and graduated in June 1991. He went on to earn a Workers Compensation and Health adjusters license, a Workers Compensation Law Specialist certificate from American Educational Institute, an Associate in Claims Management from The Insurance Institute of America and an Associate in Insurance Data Analytics from The Insurance Institutes of America. Eddie started as a mailroom clerk for Aetna/Travelers Property & Casualty after high school and worked his way up to the workers compensation division until he left the company in 2000. In 2000 he joined AIG Claims, Inc. as a claims adjuster and gradually worked his way to Senior Claims Representative - WC. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed a life in the country where he could hunt, landscape, chop wood, work on his house and tend his gardens.
Eddie is survived by his brother Michael D. Sellnow (Kathleen) of Princetown NY, stepmother Lorraine Bowen Sellnow of Voorheesville, his nieces and nephews Abigail, Emma, Lucas and Mason Sellnow. He is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Marguerita Lynch and his father Edward George Sellnow Jr.
There will be a private burial attended by close family and friends at Memory Gardens where Eddie will rest in peace with his mother and father.
