When we first moved to Voorheesville next door to Shirley and Bill; they were the first folks we met. We were blessed to know them and know she lives on in the humor, warmth and love you all will remember her by and inherited from her. So sorry for your loss.

Bill and I were lucky to have met Shirley and the entire Gillenwalters clan when we lived next to Connie and Craig. When Shirley came to visit it was always fun. She certainly was loved by everyone who had the pleasure to know her. She was sweet and kind and fun to be around. Bill and I are truly sorry for your loss but Shirley definitely lived a great long life. We are thinking of all the Gillenwalters clan but the wonderful memories of Shirley will live on for all of you.

I grew up with Deb and her siblings on South Main Street in Schoharie N.Y. Shirley and Bill’s home was warm and comfortable and I always felt welcome there!!! Shirley always had a warm greeting and a huge smile when you entered the house!!! So many great memories from childhood in their home!!! As we all do we go in different directions as we grow. We start careers ,raise families and make new friends along the way. I have always cherished those memories of our South Main Street days!!! I am so happy the Gillenwalters were a part of those memories!!! Your mom was a special lady and I am so glad she was a part of my life.Her legacy lives on in all of the lives she touched along the way.Sending all of you a gentle love filled hug.Love Rose and Mike Coons

Grandma Shirley, you were the best. I truly felt apart of your family and will forever hold those memories in my heart. I’m so happy I was able to celebrate your 90th birthday with you and friends.
