To my father, for I can’t change the past, but I can change the future. My love for you has never changed. We had our good times & our bad times. But none of which changed the way I felt about you. You were my father, my flesh and blood. I was your “princess” your “twin” your “babygirl” my heart aches for the pain and torture you endured with your health. My heart aches that as we were getting our bond back, God called you home. I remember those times, in the backseat of your car jamming out to “Don’t Leave Me” by Backstreet Boys. That was our song. A song I will forever live by and forever remember. Losing a parent has to be the worst possible pain for any child to endure. I love you Daddy. I remember our walks to the store to get drinks us girls and you would take every time we were with you. I remember sitting at the table with you eating donuts and your chuckle while eating and spitting food out because you have an absolute goofball of a child and you’re a goofball yourself. I miss your voice. I miss your hugs. I miss you. I love you Dad, I fought so hard to find a way to see you. But I know you’re at peace now. You’re no longer suffering. And I know in my heart, you are with me through every obstacle & every achievement that I may ever encounter. Rest in peace Dad…. I promise I’ll be a mess for awhile but I will pick myself back up and I will make you proud. I just wish I could have one last conversation with you. One last hug. One last laugh..
